If you follow me on Instagram, you might remember the #backtoschoolfuel week from a few weeks ago! A lot of you asked me where to find the recipes. Well, your wish is my command! Plus, I want to make sure I have all these amazing back-to-school snacks in one place for myself later too 😉
So, let’s go clockwise on the photo and start with my muffins. These Oatmeal Raisin Greek Yogurt Muffins have already become a top post on Get Well With Em! They’re moist, packed with protein, and perfectly fluffy. If you haven’t tried them yet, they make a PERFECT mid-day snack!
If you love smoothies, then this Beet-Berry-Banana Smoothie Bowl from Define Fettle is going to blow you away! This back-to-school snack is filled with veggies, fruit, protein, and healthy fats. Everything you need to keep you full and focused on a busy day!
Chocolate and peanut butter are one of my favorite combinations. So these Chocolate Peanut Butter No-Bake Energy Bites by Lauren Manganiello are at the top of my must-try list! Made with peanut butter, oats and chocolate protein powder, it’s the perfect combo of carbs and protein for your post-workout snack. They’re portable too so you don’t need to be near a kitchen to enjoy their peanut butter, chocolatey deliciousness.
One of my must-have back-to-school snacks are energy bites! There are so many flavor combinations and they’re great pre-workout fuel. Plus, having chocolate for breakfast is never a bad idea in my book 🙂 These Chocolate Cherry Energy Bites from The Balanced Berry look SO good and SO dangerous to have around. The tartness from the cherries combined with the sweet chocolatey flavor is a combination I can never get enough of.
And lastly, because there are never enough smoothies in your life, this Pina Colada Recovery Shake from Burpees for Breakfast. Want to know what makes this a recovery shake? Well let me tell ya. Pineapple contains bromelain, which has anti-inflammatory properties. Combined with the coconut cream, which also contains healthy fats, you’ve got a tasty anti-inflammatory powerhouse, perfect for post workout. Combine that with protein, and BAM, you’re giving your body all the goods it needs to recovery quickly and get your feeling good before your next workout!
