My love for the Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup is coming alive in these overnight oats. They’re packed with protein to keep you full all morning long, dairy-free, and super easy to prep!
I’ve always loved chocolate and peanut butter. I mean, who doesn’t? If you’re one of those people who doesn’t really like chocolate, this recipe probably isn’t for you. On the other hand, if you’re someone who has a major sweet tooth like me, these peanut butter cup overnight oats are definitely for you.
To start, you’ll need to gather some empty nut butter jars. If you’re like me, you’ve got a lot of these ready to go for overnight oats. Never throw out nut butter jars! Next you just need to grab oats, almond milk, applesauce or banana, cinnamon, and chocolate protein powder. I used Orgain Chocolate Fudge protein, but you can choose whichever brand you like best. Orgain is a plant-based protein, so I’m not sure how these would work with whey protein.
Then, all you have to do is put all the ingredients in a jar and shake it up! You let it sit overnight and then add your additional toppings in the morning! I like to heat my overnight oats up, but you can also just grab your jar, throw some toppings in and run out the door. Totally up to you!
While this peanut butter cup variation is one of my favorites, feel free to get creative!
Just remember to keep a 1 to 1 ratio of liquid to oats, and a 1/3 cup of mashed banana, applesauce, or plain yogurt if you’re not sensitive to dairy like I am.
A few minutes of meal prep and you've got a protein-packed, low sugar breakfast to look forward to all week!
