Bodyweight workouts are the perfect way to break a sweat while traveling. No equipment required means no excuses. But just because there’s no equipment, doesn’t mean the workouts are easy. This week, I’m sharing one of my favorite workouts, and I promise you’ll be sweating and swearing at me in no time.
While we are on the topic of workouts, I wanted to give you an update on my current routine. I’m still a member at Alchemy, which combines yoga and crossfit, but I’ve also started going back to my roots a little bit. For those who don’t know, when I first got into fitness, Tone It Up was my jam. So some mornings, I complete the daily moves and start my day with Karena & Katrina. I also will throw in a Lauren Gleisberg routine from time-to-time. Most recently, I went through the Healthy Glow Guide from Fit Foodie Finds, Nourish Move Love, and Ambitious Kitchen.
I need a lot of variety, and I really just decide what I want to do each day based on energy levels. I’m pretty bad at sticking to a structured program from start to finish, so having a lot of options is important to me. You don’t need to be strict with your fitness routine in order to see results. You just need to be consistent. Allowing myself the freedom to mix things up is what I need in order to stay committed to my physical health.
This bodyweight workout is perfect to throw in when you’re in a time crunch.
I recently surveyed my readers, AKA my family and friends, and so many said they struggled to find time to workout. You can complete this routine while dinner is cooking, while your kids are at sport practice, or when you procrastinated all day and only have 30 minutes to get your workout in. Bodyweight means you can do this anywhere. So just find 30 minutes, and get after it. When you’re done, check in with me on Instagram, tag @getwellwithem, and use the hashtag, #getwellwithem! I want to see your sweaty, smiling faces!
