We’ve all had those days where we don’t feel like sticking to our healthy lifestyle. You might feel like you don’t have the money for healthy food. Or you don’t have the time for a workout. Maybe you broke your foot and feel like there’s no print in trying to stick to a healthy routine anymore. The truth is, there will always be an excuse. “When I am facing a set back like a budget or time constraints when it comes to cooking, I open up my favorite cookbooks for inspiration…When I find a recipe that fits, I go for it and use that as an opportunity to remind myself that I can still eat healthy and be active, even when I face set backs or it seems like the odds are against me.”

“Be firm in your goals, but flexible in your methods.” There aren’t a ton of exercises you can do to get your heart rate going that don’t involve your ankle, but I kept those goals in sight and started picking up spinning and indoor cycling. A couple months ago, I even got certified to teach because I wanted to make something positive of my time off.”
